Assignable means free

Anything a teacher can assign is free, permanently. Not free for a term, not free during a trial — free, with no mechanism by which it could later stop being free.

What it means in practice

• A rule in the app, not a promiseThe material a practice link can carry is drawn from the free set. A teacher cannot assign into the paid material even by accident.
• No paywall inside homeworkA student following their teacher's assignment cannot arrive at a screen asking for money. That path does not exist.
• The free half is a whole methodAll twelve major scales on every instrument, every transposition, the metronome, long tones, vibrato, the Tuning Room and the ear-training games.
• The paid half is optional and separateOne purchase of $24.99, once, adds the advanced method for a player who has already decided to go further. It is never required, and never assigned.

Why it matters

A director recommending an app is putting their name on it in front of thirty families. If that app later asks a student for money, the director wears it.

This removes that risk completely rather than mitigating it. You are not trusting a company's current pricing policy; you are relying on the fact that the assignable material and the paid material are separate things.
