The practice record belongs to the student

The app keeps a record of what was actually practised — which exercise, how many repetitions, how many minutes, and when it was last done. That record lives on the student's own device and belongs to them.

What it means in practice

• It records the real thingNot a self-report. Repetitions, elapsed minutes and the date, per exercise.
• It stays on the phoneNothing is uploaded, and nothing is visible to me or to anyone else.
• The student chooses to share itThey can export it as a CSV and send it to you. They are not obliged to, and it never happens automatically.
• It settles an old argument“I practised, I promise” becomes something you can both look at, without either of you having to take a position.
• It is not surveillanceA practice app that reports a child's activity to an adult without their knowledge is a different kind of product. This is not that.

Why it matters

The accountability problem in private teaching is real, and most solutions to it solve it by watching the student.

Giving the student the record and letting them hand it over keeps the accountability and removes the surveillance — and a student who chooses to show you their week is telling you something a report never could.
