Zero onboarding
The app removes every setup step that normally slows a director down. No accounts, no rosters, no passwords, no database to sync — nothing to configure before students can begin practising.
What it means in practice
- No accountsStudents never create a username, a password or a profile. There is nothing for a director to manage, approve or reset.
- No rostersThe app does not import class lists, SIS data, Google Classroom rosters or district directories. It has no way to use them, and no need for them.
- No database setupThere is no backend to configure, no permissions to grant and no provisioning step for anyone in IT to schedule.
- Instant readinessA director can send a practice link at 8:00 and a student can be practising at 8:01. If the app isn't installed yet, the same link opens the whole assignment as a page they can read or print in the meantime.
- Nothing to forgetSince there are no accounts, there is no password for a student to lose and nothing for a teacher to fix at the start of a rehearsal.
- No class time spent on setupNo twenty minutes of "everyone log in", "find your password", "join the class", "connect to the Wi-Fi". None of that exists here.
Why it matters
Onboarding is where most classroom technology quietly dies. Not because the tool is bad — because a director does not have a spare twenty minutes of rehearsal, or a spare afternoon to coordinate with the technology office, and every year the tool that costs those things gets used in September and forgotten by October.
The Whole Horn removes that entire category of friction, not by making setup fast but by not having any. The app has no concept of a class, so there is nothing for it to learn about yours.
